BIPB strives to help people make better data-driven decisions.

BIPB strives to help people make better data-driven decisions. When working with non-profit organizations, these decisions have a positive impact on society. Recently, we partnered with the international charity Smile Train, which supports cleft lip and palate surgery and related treatments for children in developing countries.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palates. Millions of children in developing countries with unrepaired clefts live in shame, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing and speaking. Cleft repair surgery is simple, and the transformation is immediate. Smile Train’s sustainable model provides training and funding to empower local doctors in 85+ developing countries to provide 100%-free cleft repair surgery in their own communities.

BIPB worked with Smile Train to establish innovative tools for data visualization and analysis so they can continue to be a leader in the field of global health. These tools help the organization put their data to use so they can effectively plan for future programming and make decisions based on real-time information. Using self-service analytics, we identified key metrics that measure the efficiencies of Smile Train programs to help optimize how the organization can best meet its mission now and into the future. Using data-driven insights, Smile Train better understands how to allocate resources to improve the lives of thousands more children each year. As a global organization, our support has enabled Smile Train to effectively share timely and accurate information across the organization, helping them remain efficient.
